Maple Rise Campground

Located on the eastern slope of the beautiful Wellsville Mountains, Maple Rise Camp sits midway between the Cache Valley communities of Wellsville and Mendon. This secluded, 90-acre property borders the Wellsville Wilderness Area and provides a peaceful, wooded setting for camping, recreation, and meaningful group experiences.

Trails & Nature

Maple Rise features a beautiful 0.9-mile forest loop trail that is short and enjoyable for visitors of all ages. As you explore the heavily wooded maple forest, you may encounter wild turkeys, mule deer, and a variety of wildflowers along the way.

One of the camp's most popular destinations is Sunrise Point, located a short hike above the amphitheater. From this scenic overlook, visitors can enjoy beautiful views of Cache Valley and experience spectacular sunrises. Sunrise Point is also a favorite location for stargazing, quiet reflection, and sharing testimonies.

Camp Amenities

Maple Rise Camp offers a variety of improvements and recreational facilities designed to accommodate groups of all sizes, including:

• Showers and restrooms in both the upper and lower camps

• Pavilion

• Culinary water

• Fire rings at each camp

• Signed hiking trails

• Flagpoles

• Amphitheater

• Picnic tables

• Volleyball court

• 9 Square

• Gaga ball court

• Archery range

• Beautiful Covenant Path experience

The new amphitheater provides a special setting for group gatherings, devotionals, performances, and other activities.

Camping Capacity

The two major camping areas can be configured to accommodate groups of varying sizes:

• Lower Camp: 10–156 campers

• Upper Camp: 10–160 campers

• Total capacity: Up to 316 campers

Whether you're planning a small group outing or a large camp experience, Maple Rise offers a flexible setting surrounded by the beauty and peace of the mountains.

Hyrum State Park and Hyrum Dam are just minutes away, providing opportunities for boating, swimming, fishing, and other water activities.
